Pranayama is a very important key component of Yoga which involves breath control techniques that can contribute significantly to heart health.

Method: Inhale deeply, filling your lungs with air. If you are inhaling 5 times, exhale for 5 times also.

Bhastrika Pranayama

Method: Rest thumbs on the 'Tragus' (outer ear flap). Position index on forehead, middle on Medial Canthus, ring on nostril corner. Inhale deeply, exhale with a bee-like 'mmmm…' hum.

Brahmari Pranayama

Method: Take cool breaths through curled tongue, exhale through nose, touch tongue to palate, and swallow for hydration.

Sheetali Pranayama

Method: Close right nostril, inhale left; close left, exhale right. Inhale right, then close to exhale left. Repeat for 10 mins, one cycle each time.

Anulom Vilom Pranayama

Method: Inhale normally, then exhale forcefully in short, rhythmic breaths. Engage your stomach to expel air from diaphragm and lungs.

Kapal Bhati Pranayama

Method: Sit comfortably, straighten back, close eyes. Palms up on knees in Prapthi Mudra. Inhale deep, exhale making 'Oooommm' circle with lips, chant as long as possible.
