Actor Junior Mehmood, 67, passed away after battling stomach cancer. Bollywood stars paid tribute at his residence.

On December 7 night, Junior Mehmood's health deteriorated. Rushed to Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, he was on oxygen support but couldn't survive.

Salam Kazi, Jr Mehmood's friend, shared he was sick for 2 months. Initially minor, later diagnosed with stage four cancer in liver, lungs, and intestine, plus jaundice.

During his father's last rites, Junior Mehmood's both sons, Johnny Lever, embraced and cried profusely.

Johnny Lever expressed, "They were like brothers, hardworking till the end. We talked daily, and I wish peace for their souls wherever they are."

Junior Mehmood was interred at Juhu Muslim Cemetery, resting beside his mother in the same burial ground.

In an exclusive interview of a year ago Mehmod said that "If I could be reborn, I'd choose to be Junior Mehmood, no one else."

In Hindi cinema, numerous stars have come and gone, but only one child superstar rightfully claims the title – Naeem Sayyed, aka Junior Mehmood.

Junior Mehmood's film debut: "Mohabbat Zindagi Hai" (1966) and "Naunihal" (1967). "Suhaag Raat" (1968) earned him the title "Junior Mehmood."

Junior Mehmood was interred at Juhu Muslim Cemetery, resting beside his mother in the same burial ground.
