खेत में मिट्टी खोदते समय अनजाने में उसके हाथों से एक साही (Porcupine) के शावक की मृत्यु हो गई। इस पर साही की माँ ने उसे शाप दिया कि जिस प्रकार उसके शावक की मृत्यु हुई है, वैसे ही उसके सातों पुत्रों की भी मृत्यु होगी। शाप के प्रभाव से साहूकार के सातों पुत्रों का देहांत हो गया।
